Novice Gun Dog Training Masterclass with Ben Randall- Saturday 28th March 2020.
In the world of Gundog training Ben Randall is recognized as one of the very best there is. Twice awarded “Gun Dog Trainer of the year”, Ben is a Kennel Club “A panel” judge, judging field trials and national championships both in the UK and throughout Europe.
The Royal Berkshire are delighted to work with Ben to offer this one day course that is designed to cater for the novice handler and their dog. With just 12 places available, this day is perfect for anybody wanting to take their dog shooting but who does not know where to start when it comes to training. This relaxed and friendly workshop will help you understand more about the psychology of your dog and at the same time build your confidence and knowledge.
£170 per dog and handler, to include a full day’s workshop, breakfast, lunch, all refreshments and a goody bag to take away.
The format of the day is as follows:
9.30am Arrive at The Royal Berkshire for a breakfast of bacon and sausage rolls, teas and coffees.
10:00am The theory session
Based in the Farmhouse- An introduction from Ben where training issues and tips are discussed. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions or raise issues that you may be having with your training.
11.30am Head out into the paddock where Ben will demonstrate with his own dogs.
12.30pm Return to the Farmhouse for a buffet lunch.
1:00pm Head back out into paddock to practice with Ben on hand to help you. A fun competition for ‘Top Handler and Dog’ will take place, with the winner receiving a years subscription to Gun Dog Journal.
3.15pm Coffees and teas are served back in the Farmhouse and Ben wraps up the day. Guests receive their special goody bag!
3.30pm Depart at leisure
All handlers will receive a goody bag to take away with them.
Due to space restrictions we are unable to accept more than one handler per dog on to the workshop.
