Top Tips- Improve your shooting with Steve Turner
Over the coming weeks we will bring you a selection of 'Top Tips' from our team of instructors.
Steve Turner, a passionate game and clay shot, is one of the full-time instructors at the Royal Berkshire and has been part of the team for over 15 years. Many of you will know Steve from his role helping to run our hugely popular and successful charity shoots.
The following are Steve's Top Tips for people to bear in mind;
Tip 1 - Concentrate on your footwork.
If your stance and balance is right, then your body will be in the right position. This, in turn, will help you to keep the line of the bird.
Tip 2 - Always watch the bird.
Put simply, how can you expect to hit something if you are not looking at it?
Tip 3 - Shoot game birds out in front.
Where possible, try to shoot game birds out in front, it gives you more time for the second shot and is a more effective way of shooting.
Good luck with practicing these tips over the summer. But to really get to grips with them, why not book a lesson with Steve?
