Home of the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon and the ‘real’ Downton Abbey, Highclere has a reputation as a truly outstanding shoot with some stunning topography. The Really Wild “Drives” use the steep wooded valleys and thanks to our manual traps, we can even show some Hampshire “Grouse”.
Breakfast and a festive themed luncheon are enjoyed at the award winning Jack Russell Inn which is located just a short drive from the estate. We will also stop in the field for a hearty and warming elevenses break halfway through shooting. If you wish to make a trip of it, the pub have eleven beautiful, dog friendly rooms, should you wish to enjoy a spoiling supper and overnight stay before or after the shoot.
