Handicap Challenge 2025
Purdey at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School are pleased to announce that the Handicap Challenge 2025 will run from Monday 3rd February to Saturday 12th April with the Final being held on Thursday 1st May.
We have some amazing prizes to be won, thanks to our sponsors Browning, IWC, Gamebore and James Purdey & Sons:
Weekly prizes will be awarded to the two highest scores, including handicap:
• Top gun – 250 Gamebore Cartridges
• Runner-up gun - £80.00 cash
At the end of the qualifying period:
• The entrant posting the highest score without handicap during the qualifying rounds will win a Top Gun Pilots Watch, courtesy of IWC
• The top scoring lady during the qualifying rounds will win £500.00 cash plus 500 Gamebore Cartridges plus a Purdey Waistcoat
• Any entrant straighting the Grouse will go into a draw to win their choice of either a Purdey Yorkshire Field Coat or Purdey Wiltshire Light Coat
At the final:
• Top Gun will win a Browning Production Shotgun of their choice, plus 1000 Gamebore Cartridges and a Purdey Waistcoat
• Second Place Gun will receive £1000.00 cash plus 1000 Gamebore Cartridges
• Third Place Gun will receive £500.00 cash plus 500 Gamebore Cartridges
The entry fee for the first round is £70 if you shoot alone or £65 each if you shoot with a friend. All subsequent rounds are a fee of only £50.
Please remember that we are a FIBRE WAD ONLY ground. Anyone found to be shooting anything other than fibre wad will be asked to return to the Gun Room to purchase alternative cartridges.
