Sensing the need for a gun that can meet these demanding conditions, we introduced the Trigger Plate. From start to finish, our Trigger Plate guns are made entirely in our London factory. Like all of our ‘Best’ guns, it passes through the traditional seven stages of gunmaking in the hands of our world-famous craftsmen. It seamlessly combines their traditional skills with twenty-first-century technology to create a beautiful, handmade shotgun with classically elegant aesthetics and modern strength.

The Purdey Trigger Plate is available in a ‘Game’ version and a ‘Sporting Clays’ model. The latter was developed by our in-house team and launched in 2019. Amongst several features, the Sporting Clays version features an ergonomically designed full pistol grip with palm swell and a raised top rib that is tapered from the Breech to the Muzzle. The double vented mid-rib provides better heat dispersion ideal for the sporting clay shooter.
